Progress Report Without Much Progress

OK, school officially got out on Wednesday, so I'm really starting to work now. I've already discovered that I'll have to change most of the Samus graphics from the original ZM ones to Kenji's custom ones. And I'll need to find $20 so I can buy GM Pro. Also, if anyone reading this wants to help with programming, I'd gladly accept the help, cuz I really need it. I will post some mockups when I get some plot stuff worked out.

Actually Starting Now...

So after a lengthy delay, I actually got a hold of one of AlexR 0f MFM's engines, so I started messing around today. The result? I need GM Pro. I know, you'll all say "Oh, you should've known that." Yeah, but I'm gonna use my money for something else, so I'm trying to keep costs on other stuff down. But otherwise, the engine looks good, and it has everything I need to do a game, I'd just have to keep it basic. i plan to start over the summer, and once I start, maybe I'll work to get more items in. Also, I'll be making a few mock-ups for the game soon, and I'll post those soon.

Updates

OK, yeah, it's been a while, but I'm actually starting once I finish helping with Project Zebes. I have a site set up and I'm also using this blog. I'll post a link to the site at the end of the post. I've decided that Samus will find a third Power Suit soon after landing, because I hate the Fusion Suit. I will also be including interactive environments. For example, near the beginning of the game, you will find a door that has been blocked by some rubble. If you activate the control panel nearby, a crane will extend from the ceiling and move the rubble so you can move through.There is a lot of info on my site, so check it out.

Starting Today

Hello all. Today, I decided to get started on the fangame I'd been planning on making for a while. Currently, the game is called Metroid Eclipse. It will be set after Metroid Fusion, as a continuation of the story. The part of the plot I have worked out now, is that Samus will be contacted by the Galactic Federation, to say that they need her services again. Apparently, one of the SA-X escaped the destruction of the BSL Station. It has settled on the world of (insert name here) and is know wreaking havoc. It has already taken out the GF base there, and Samus is need to go there and stop it. That is what I've currently figured out, but more will come. I'm just waiting for the needed software to arrive.
